The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an important notice regarding the strict prohibition on distribution of question papers before the completion of examinations.
In its latest circular, CBSE has emphasized that utmost secrecy and integrity of question papers must be maintained at all times to ensure a fair examination process.
The Board has issued the following key instructions:
- Question papers must not be handed over, shown, or shared with anyone under any circumstances
- Any unused question papers after distribution must be repacked immediately and kept safely once the exam begins
- Question papers should not be given to subject teachers for review or observation
- No question paper should be kept in the school library or any other place
- CBSE will upload the question papers on its official website only after the examinations are over
Additionally, CBSE has clearly stated that the total number of question papers distributed and repacked must match the number provided to the school.
The Board has warned that any violation of these rules will be treated as a serious breach of examination confidentiality and may lead to strict disciplinary action.
All Centre Superintendents have been instructed to ensure proper implementation of these guidelines and to brief their staff accordingly.
CBSE highlighted that these measures are crucial to maintain trust, transparency, and fairness in the examination system.
