The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has once again extended the last date for students to apply for scanned copies of their evaluated Class 12 answer books for the 2026 Board Examinations.
According to the latest CBSE notification released on 24 May 2026, students can now submit their applications till 25 May 2026 (Midnight). Earlier, the deadline had already been extended to 24 May 2026.
CBSE stated that the extension has been provided to ensure that all students get sufficient time and opportunity to access their evaluated answer books without any inconvenience.
The Board also informed that the dates for applying for re-evaluation and verification of issues observed will be announced shortly. CBSE clarified that the portal for re-evaluation requests will remain open for at least two days after the last scanned copy is provided to students.
Students who wish to apply for scanned copies are advised to complete the process within the extended timeline through the official CBSE portal.
This initiative is part of CBSE’s new On Screen Marking (OSM) evaluation system introduced for Class XII Board Exams 2026, aimed at improving transparency, accuracy, and efficiency in the evaluation process.
