The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a third circular regarding the conduct of Class 10 and Class 12 Board Examinations in the Middle East region, following earlier notifications issued on 01 March 2026 and 03 March 2026.
After reviewing the prevailing situation in several Middle East countries, the Board has announced important decisions affecting CBSE-affiliated schools in:
- Bahrain
- Iran
- Kuwait
- Oman
- Qatar
- Saudi Arabia
- United Arab Emirates (UAE)
📚 Class X Board Examination Update
CBSE has decided to cancel all Class 10 examinations scheduled between 07 March 2026 and 11 March 2026 in the affected Middle East regions.
Additionally, the examinations that were previously postponed on 02 March, 05 March, and 06 March 2026 will now stand cancelled.
The mode of declaration of results for Class X students in the Middle East region will be announced separately by the Board at a later stage.
📝 Class XII Board Examination Update
For Class XII students, the Board has announced the following decisions:
- The exam scheduled on Saturday, 07 March 2026 has been postponed.
- Revised examination dates will be announced later.
- CBSE will review the situation again on 07 March 2026 before deciding on examinations scheduled from 09 March 2026 onwards.
Students appearing for the Class XII examinations are advised to stay in regular contact with their schools and follow official CBSE announcements for further updates.
The circular was issued by Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, CBSE, and shared with Indian embassies and consulates across the affected Middle East countries to ensure timely communication.
CBSE reiterated that the decisions have been taken keeping the safety and well-being of students as the top priority.
