The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued another important update regarding Class XII board examinations in the Middle East region.
This circular is a continuation of the earlier notifications released on 01 March 2026, 03 March 2026, and 05 March 2026, which addressed disruptions in the conduct of CBSE board exams in certain Middle East countries.
After reviewing the current situation in the region, CBSE has decided to postpone the Class XII board examinations scheduled on 09 March 2026 (Monday), 10 March 2026 (Tuesday), and 11 March 2026 (Wednesday).
The decision applies to CBSE-affiliated schools located in the following countries:
- Bahrain
- Iran
- Kuwait
- Oman
- Qatar
- Saudi Arabia
- United Arab Emirates (UAE)
According to the Board, new examination dates for the postponed papers will be announced later.
CBSE has also stated that the situation will be reviewed again on 10 March 2026, after which the Board will take a decision regarding examinations scheduled from 12 March 2026 onwards.
Students appearing for the Class XII CBSE Board Examinations in the Middle East are advised to stay in regular contact with their respective schools and closely follow official announcements from CBSE for further updates.
The circular has been issued by Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, CBSE, and the information has been shared with Indian embassies and consulates in the affected countries.
