The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released another important update regarding the Class XII Board Examinations in the Middle East region.
This notification is a continuation of the earlier circular issued on 07 March 2026 concerning disruptions in the conduct of CBSE board examinations in several Middle East countries.
After reviewing the current situation in the region, along with concerns related to student stress and ongoing uncertainties, CBSE has decided to postpone the Class XII board examinations scheduled from 12 March 2026 (Thursday) to 16 March 2026 (Monday).
The decision applies to CBSE-affiliated schools located in the following countries:
- Bahrain
- Iran
- Kuwait
- Oman
- Qatar
- Saudi Arabia
- United Arab Emirates (UAE)
According to CBSE, new dates for these postponed examinations will be announced later.
The Board has also stated that the situation will be reviewed again on 14 March 2026, after which appropriate decisions will be taken regarding the remaining examinations scheduled from 16 March onwards.
Students appearing for the Class XII CBSE Board Examinations in these Middle East regions are advised to stay in regular contact with their schools and closely follow official CBSE announcements for further updates.
The circular has been issued by Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, CBSE, and the information has also been communicated to Indian embassies and consulates across the affected countries.
