The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has introduced an Online Remote Invigilation Examination (Proctored Assessment) for School Counseling and Wellness Teachers (Socio-Emotional Counselors) across its affiliated schools.
This initiative is part of CBSE’s broader effort to strengthen student support systems and ensure high standards in counseling services. The assessment will be conducted in phases, targeting approximately 10,000 counselors, with the first batch already initiated from February 2026.

Unlike traditional exams, this assessment focuses on:
- Practical counseling skills
- Ethical understanding
- Real-life application of knowledge
It ensures that counselors are well-equipped to support students’ mental health and emotional well-being.

The exam will be conducted on an AI-enabled platform “DIGI-EXAM”, which ensures:
- Secure and transparent evaluation
- Standardised assessment process
- Remote participation for easy access

📌 Instructions for Schools
CBSE has directed all affiliated schools to:
