The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted a live Q&A webinar on “Relevance of Registration & LOC” at its Integrated Office in Dwarka, New Delhi, on September 29, 2026. The programme focused on helping schools understand the registration and List of Candidates (LOC) processes for the Class X and Class XII Board Examinations 2027.
The webinar followed CBSE’s circulars on LOC submission and the correction of students’ demographic details. It highlighted the Board’s focus on making examination-related procedures more transparent and student-friendly.
Live Q&A Addressed Schools’ Queries
A key highlight was the live question-and-answer session, during which senior CBSE officials responded to questions submitted by school principals and teachers.
The queries mainly concerned:
- Correction of student details and demographic information
- Selection and change of subjects
- Submission and verification of LOC data
- Registration of students in Classes IX and XI
- Examination fee-related provisions
- Implementation of provisions for Children with Special Needs (CWSN)
The Controller of Examinations also delivered a presentation explaining important aspects of the registration and LOC processes.
Emphasis on Accurate and Timely Data Submission
During the session, CBSE stressed the importance of submitting registration and LOC data accurately and within the prescribed timelines. Schools were advised to carefully verify student particulars and subject combinations, follow applicable fee provisions, and ensure the appropriate implementation of CWSN-related guidelines.
The Board also encouraged schools to guide students and parents promptly and resolve procedural issues well in advance, allowing students to concentrate on their studies without unnecessary administrative difficulties.
Registration and LOC Process Across CBSE Schools
At the time of the webinar, CBSE had already commenced the LOC process for the 2027 Secondary and Senior Secondary Board Examinations. The registration process for students of Classes IX and XI was also expected to commence shortly.
These processes covered students studying in nearly 32,000 CBSE-affiliated schools across India and 26 countries.
The programme was livestreamed on CBSE’s official YouTube channel. More than 450 school principals and educators participated in person at the CBSE Integrated Office in Dwarka, alongside online viewers and other stakeholders.
CBSE Advises Stakeholders to Follow Official Updates
CBSE advised schools, students and parents to regularly visit its official website, www.cbse.gov.in, for authentic and updated information regarding registration, LOC submission and Board Examinations.
The webinar served as an opportunity for schools to clarify important procedural questions and reinforce the need for accurate student data and timely compliance with CBSE guidelines.
