The Ministry of Education (MoE), under its flagship Prerana: An Experiential Learning Program, has announced the screening of the award-winning film “Chalo Jeete Hain” for students across schools between 16th September and 2nd October 2025.
The Prerana program, conducted from the historic Vernacular School of Vadnagar, Gujarat – the alma mater of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi – focuses on nurturing nine core human values:
- Swabhiman aur Vinay
- Shaurya aur Sahas
- Parishram aur Samarpan
- Satyanishtha aur Shuchita
- Karuna aur Seva
- Navachar aur Jigyasa
- Vividhta aur Ekta
- Shraddha aur Vishwas
- Swatantrata aur Kartavya
As part of this initiative, pedagogical tools such as storytelling, indigenous games, hands-on activities, and audio-visual learning are being used to create experiential learning opportunities for students.
The film Chalo Jeete Hain, inspired by true events, embodies these values and resonates with the famous quote of Swami Vivekananda: “Only those who live for others, actually live.” It was awarded the National Award for Best Non-Feature Film on Family Values at the 66th National Film Awards and has already left a strong impact on students participating in the Prerana program.
The film, available for schools on YouTube, is expected to encourage young learners to reflect on character, empathy, service, responsibility, and critical thinking.
This screening is also being aligned with the second cycle of Prerana Utsav beginning in October 2025, furthering the program’s goal of holistic student development.
