The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a circular informing all affiliated schools about the commencement of online nominations for the INSPIRE-MANAK Scheme 2026–27, an initiative of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.
The INSPIRE-MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge) Scheme aims to encourage innovation, creativity, and scientific thinking among students studying in Classes VI to XII. The programme provides young innovators with an opportunity to showcase original ideas that can solve real-world problems through science and technology.
As per the CBSE circular, every affiliated school can nominate up to five original and innovative ideas submitted by eligible students. All nominations must be submitted online through the E-Management of INSPIRE-MANAK Scheme (E-MIAS) Portal.
Important Deadline
Schools must complete the online nomination process on or before 15 September 2026. CBSE has advised schools to identify deserving students and submit their innovative ideas well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues.
What Schools Should Do
- Encourage students from Classes VI to XII to participate.
- Select up to five original and innovative ideas from the school.
- Submit nominations through the E-MIAS portal before 15 September 2026.
- Refer to the official INSPIRE-MANAK portal for detailed guidelines and nomination procedures.
