The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the post-result facilities available to students who appeared for the Class 10 Main and Second Board Examinations 2026. The facilities include obtaining a scanned copy of the evaluated answer book, verification of marks, and re-evaluation of answers.
CBSE declared the result of the Class 10 Main Board Examination on 15 April 2026, while the result of the Second Board Examination was declared on 18 July 2026. Students who wish to use these post-result facilities must submit their requests online within the prescribed schedule and pay the applicable fee online.
Facilities Available for Class 10 Students
Students who appeared only in the Main Board Examination can first apply for a scanned copy of their evaluated answer book. After receiving the scanned copy, they may apply for verification of marks and/or re-evaluation of one or more full questions in the concerned answer book.
Students who appeared in both the Main and Second Board Examinations can follow the same process for subjects taken only in the Main Examination.
For subjects taken in both examinations, students may obtain the answer book of the Main Examination, Second Examination, or both. However, for verification and/or re-evaluation, they must choose only one answer book—either the Main Examination answer book or the Second Examination answer book. Once selected, the other answer book cannot be considered for these facilities.
Important Guidelines for Students
CBSE has clarified that the entire process is online, including submission of applications and payment of fees. Applications submitted after the prescribed deadline or through offline modes will not be accepted.
Students should also note that only candidates who have obtained the scanned copy of their evaluated answer book are eligible to apply for verification of marks and/or re-evaluation.
For re-evaluation, students can select full questions and provide reasons for requesting re-evaluation. Verification and re-evaluation are available only for the theory portion of the examination.
The revised marks may increase, decrease or remain unchanged. CBSE has specifically stated that even a decrease of one mark will be implemented. The outcome of verification or re-evaluation will be final, and no further appeal or review will be accepted.
CBSE has also advised students and parents to rely only on official CBSE communication channels and avoid unverified information, rumours or social media posts regarding the result process.
