New Delhi, September 4, 2025 – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a notification regarding the submission of examination forms for Class X private candidates for the academic year 2025–2026. The exams will be conducted in February/March/April 2026, along with the Board’s main examinations.
Eligible Categories of Students
The following candidates can apply under this notification:
- Students of the session 2024–25 declared Essential Repeat in the Class X examination.
- Students of the session 2024–25 placed in Compartment (Main & Supplementary Exams 2025).
- Candidates declared Fail/Essential Repeat in the years 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024.
- Passed candidates of 2025 who wish to improve their performance in one or more subjects.
Form Submission Start Date: September 9, 2025
Important Guidelines for Students
- No offline applications will be accepted.
- Late applications will not be entertained under any circumstances.
- Fees must be paid online via Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card (Domestic/International).
- No fee payment through DD/Postal Order/Money Order/Cheque will be accepted.
- Students of 2024–25 must submit Roll Number and Year of Passing details online.
- Only one exam centre city can be selected – changes will not be allowed later.
- Candidates must ensure all details are correct. Wrong or false information may lead to cancellation of candidature.
- After submitting the form and payment, candidates must download a confirmation copy for their records.
Special Provisions
- Students with disabilities will continue to receive exemptions/concessions as per the RPWD Act 2016.
- Candidates applying for concessions must upload a scanned Medical Certificate while filling the form.
