The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an official notification inviting online applications for a wide range of teaching and non-teaching positions in Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS) for the recruitment year 2025.
This recruitment drive is being conducted by CBSE on behalf of KVS and NVS, both of which function as autonomous bodies under the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
🏫 About KVS (Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan):
KVS operates 1288 Kendriya Vidyalayas across India and 3 abroad, along with 25 regional offices and five ZIET training institutes. These co-educational schools up to Class 12 focus on high-quality, holistic education.
Headquarters: New Delhi
🏫 About NVS (Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti):
NVS manages 653 Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) across the country, except Tamil Nadu. JNVs are fully residential, co-educational schools, primarily serving rural students. Teachers appointed to JNVs are required to live on campus and take on additional responsibilities such as:
- House Mastership
- Supervisory and remedial studies
- Co-curricular coordination
- Escorting students during academic migrations
- Ensuring student welfare
Given that at least one-third of JNV students are girls, NVS aims to maintain balanced deployment of male and female teachers, based on administrative needs.
📢 Eligibility & Recruitment Information:
CBSE will conduct the recruitment for various teaching and non-teaching posts through an online application process.
Candidates are advised to refer only to official websites for accurate information:
Selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India, and no request for change of posting location will be accepted.
For TGT (Regional Language) posts in NVS, initial posting will be outside the candidate’s linguistic state.
