New Delhi – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has invited self-nominations from deserving teachers and principals of private CBSE-affiliated schools across the country for the National Awards to Teachers 2024–25.

Who Can Apply?
Teachers with a minimum of 10 years of continuous service and principals with 10 years as a teacher plus 5 years as a principal in CBSE-affiliated schools (as of March 31, 2025) are eligible to apply. Even those retiring on or after the same date can submit their nominations.
Principals must apply under their designated category and not as teachers, and each applicant is allowed to submit only one application.
How to Apply
The application process is entirely online. Interested candidates must register and submit their entries on the official portal before the deadline: July 6, 2025.

Applicants must upload essential documents, including:
- A self-declaration form
- Service and vigilance clearance certificates signed by the School Manager
- Academic and professional qualification certificates
- Performance records in school or board examinations
What Happens Next?
CBSE will evaluate the applications based on multiple factors including experience, academic background, and student results. A merit list of top 24 applicants will be prepared. In case of a tie, the board may apply further shortlisting measures.
Shortlisted applicants will have to upload verified documents (in PDF, max 1MB) and may be invited for an interactive session. From this process, the final six awardees will be selected and recommended to the Ministry.
