In a landmark step to address the rising concern of substance abuse among students, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The agreement aims to strengthen awareness initiatives and foster drug-free school environments across CBSE-affiliated institutions.
The MoU Signing Ceremony will take place on 3rd September 2025 at the CBSE Headquarters, Dwarka, New Delhi. This collaboration will empower schools to discourage substance misuse and promote healthy lifestyle choices among students.
Key Objectives of the Initiative
- Conduct awareness programs, workshops, and counseling sessions
- Train principals, counselors, and educators on strategies to prevent substance abuse
- Build strong, supportive, and drug-free school communities
