The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the schedule for the Registration of Students in Classes IX and XI and the Submission of List of Candidates (LOC) for Classes X and XII for the academic session 2025-26. As per the notification issued on September 18, 2025, schools are required to complete the registration and LOC submission within the stipulated dates to avoid late fees and complications. For Class X and XII, the last date for submission of LOC without late fee is 30 September 2025 (Tuesday), while with late fee it extends to 11 October 2025 (Saturday). For Class IX and XI, the registration without late fee ends on 16 October 2025 (Thursday) and with late fee till 31 October 2025 (Thursday).
CBSE has also provided a data verification window where parents and students can verify their details – for Class X and XII from 13th to 27th October 2025 and for Class IX and XI from 14th to 28th November 2025. After these dates, no correction will be allowed for Classes X and XII, making it crucial for parents to check every detail carefully.
The Board has highlighted that details such as student’s name, date of birth, parents’ names, and subjects must be filled correctly and in expanded form. Short forms will not be accepted, and any mismatch may create future issues. Parents are also advised to ensure that the date of birth matches official documents and, if applicable, that passport details are cross-verified. Moreover, subjects once submitted within the due date cannot be changed later.
CBSE has urged parents to remain vigilant, verify all entries carefully, and cooperate with schools to ensure error-free submissions. Correct submission of data is essential as it directly impacts admit card generation, smooth conduct of examinations, and even international academic requirements in case of higher studies abroad.
