The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a reminder circular for all affiliated schools regarding the correction of data in the List of Candidates (LOC) for Classes X and XII for the academic session 2025–26.
As per the notification dated October 13, 2025, schools have been given a final correction window from October 13 (Monday) to October 27 (Monday), 2025 to rectify any discrepancies in student information such as name, parent name, date of birth, and subjects offered.
CBSE emphasized that after this correction period, no further changes will be permitted under any circumstances.
The Board reminded principals that after the submission of LOC data, students and parents will receive a data verification slip. They must carefully review and confirm that all details are accurate.
To ensure correctness, CBSE has urged parents to:
- Verify their ward’s personal information (name, date of birth, parents’ names).
- Use expanded full names instead of abbreviations.
- Ensure surname inclusion for students planning to go abroad.
- Cross-check details with the passport, if applicable.
- Confirm that subjects have been filled correctly for both Classes X and XII.
CBSE has clarified that this initiative aims to avoid any errors in admit cards or future documents, ensuring the smooth conduct of the board examinations.
