The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the Date Sheet for Class 10 and Class 12 Board Examinations 2026.
According to the notice, the board exams will commence on 17 February 2026, and the early release aims to provide ample preparation time for students, teachers, and schools.
For the first time, CBSE has issued the date sheet almost 110 days before the exams, made possible due to the timely submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) by schools.
The Board highlighted several benefits of this early release:
- Students can begin their exam preparations early and manage anxiety effectively.
- Families and teachers can plan their vacations and schedules around the exam period.
- Schools can organize academic and administrative work smoothly.
- Evaluation and entrance exam timelines (like JEE Main) will not overlap.
The exams will start at 10:30 AM (IST) each day.
CBSE has ensured that no two subjects commonly chosen by students fall on the same date, and that the Class 12 exams finish well before major entrance exams.
Schools have been instructed to share registration numbers of Class XI students applying for JEE Main to avoid scheduling conflicts.
Students and schools can download the official date sheet from the CBSE website:
