The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has shared important information regarding admissions for the Academic Session 2026–27 at the South Asian University (SAU).
This communication follows a request received from the Registrar of South Asian University, an international institution established by the Governments of SAARC nations. The university has been a leading regional centre for higher education for over 16 years, attracting students from across South Asia.
Located at Maidan Garhi, New Delhi, the university offers a vibrant multicultural academic environment on its 100-acre campus. In recent years, SAU has expanded its academic offerings by introducing several undergraduate programmes alongside its established postgraduate and doctoral courses.
Admissions Modes for Session 2026–27
Admissions to various programmes at South Asian University will be conducted through two modes:
1. SAU Entrance Test Mode
Students can apply through the university’s entrance test.
- Entrance Test Dates: 25–26 April 2026
- Applicable to various undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes.
2. Direct Admission Mode
For Students in India:
Admission will be based on scores from recognized national-level entrance examinations such as:
- JEE Main
- CUET
- NEET
- CAT
- CLAT
- NET
- GATE
For Students in Other SAARC Countries:
Admissions will be based on national-level test scores or qualifying examination results, as applicable.

- B.Tech in Mathematics & Computing
- Dual Degree B.Tech–M.Tech (Computer Science)
