The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a crucial circular addressed to principals of all affiliated schools, highlighting concerns over teachers sharing evaluation-related content on social media.
The Board noted that some teachers involved in the evaluation of Class X and Class XII examinations have been posting comments, opinions, and personal experiences online. Many of these posts, according to CBSE, are misleading, factually incorrect, and capable of creating confusion and spreading rumours among students, parents, and other stakeholders.
Reiterating the importance of confidentiality, CBSE has reminded teachers that the evaluation process is governed by strict protocols and must remain completely confidential. Sharing any form of information, including personal opinions or experiences related to evaluation, on public platforms is strictly prohibited.
The Board has further clarified that any attempt to spread rumours or misrepresent facts on social media will be treated as a violation of professional conduct. Such actions may lead to disciplinary measures against the individuals involved.
CBSE has advised all educators to exercise restraint and maintain the highest standards of professionalism, dignity, and integrity while performing their duties.
School principals have been instructed to immediately communicate this advisory to all teachers engaged in the evaluation process to ensure strict compliance.
