The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced an extension in the deadline for students applying to obtain scanned copies of their Class 12 Board Examination 2026 answer books.
According to the official circular, the CBSE website has been experiencing extremely high traffic over the past few days. The Board also reported several attempts of unauthorized interference, which caused temporary disruptions in online services.
To ensure that no student misses the opportunity to access their evaluated answer sheets, CBSE has revised the application deadline.
Revised Deadline Details
- Previous Last Date: 23 May 2026
- Extended Last Date: 24 May 2026
CBSE further informed students that after receiving the scanned copy of their answer book, they will get up to two additional days to apply for the next stage, which includes:
- Verification of issues observed
- Re-evaluation of answers
The Board has advised students to use the extended timeline properly and complete their applications within the revised schedule.
CBSE also clarified that all previously announced terms and conditions regarding post-result facilities will remain unchanged.
The extension comes as a relief for many students facing difficulties while accessing the CBSE portal during the ongoing post-result process.
