CBSE Issues Advisory for Board Examinations 2027
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has advised all affiliated schools to prepare carefully for the upcoming registration and List of Candidates (LOC) submission processes for Board Examinations 2027.
In its notice dated September 10, 2026, the Board highlighted that the smooth conduct of board examinations and timely declaration of results require coordinated planning and support from schools at every level.
CBSE stated that the important activities of registration for Classes IX and XI and LOC submission for Classes X and XII will begin shortly. Schools have therefore been asked to ensure that all required student information is accurate and updated before submission.
Student Details Schools Need to Keep Ready
Schools have been advised to thoroughly verify and prepare the following details for every candidate:
- Full name of the candidate, as per the admission register
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Category, such as General, SC, ST, OBC, etc.
- Full names of parents/guardians, with correct spellings
- Subjects offered, as per the prescribed scheme of studies
- Photograph and signature of each candidate in the specified format
CBSE emphasised that candidate details should be checked carefully before submission, as errors can create complications later during the examination process.
Issues Reported in Recent Examinations
The Board also highlighted several avoidable issues that have caused delays and operational difficulties during recent examination cycles.
These include:
- Incorrect subject code or subject entered by schools, followed by requests for correction after submission.
- Incorrect student or parent details, resulting in correction requests.
- Non-submission of LOC for students.
- Late submission of LOC beyond the required timeline.
According to CBSE, despite repeated reminders to schools regarding accurate submission of personal data and subjects, errors have continued to occur.
Schools Asked to Ensure Accurate Submission
The Board noted that such issues affect its ability to maintain examination timelines and operational efficiency while also creating unnecessary difficulties for candidates.
CBSE has therefore once again requested all affiliated schools to prepare and verify complete and correct student details before the LOC submission process begins.
The notice was issued by Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, and addressed to the Principals/Heads of Schools of all CBSE-affiliated schools.
