The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued Reminder 1 to all affiliated schools regarding the accuracy of registration data for Classes IX and XI for the academic session 2025–2026.
The circular reiterates the importance of correct, complete, and timely submission of student registration data — a crucial first step toward preparing for the 2026–2027 Board Examinations.
Schools are instructed to:
- Carefully go through the earlier circular CBSE/COORD/REGN/2025-26 dated 11/09/2025.
- Ensure that staff involved in data entry are fully aware of all guidelines.
- Inform parents about the importance of correct data submission and the consequences of any errors.
- Register 100% of students in Classes IX and XI without leaving out any student due to sickness, absence, or technical issues.
⚠️ CBSE has clearly stated that if any student is missed during this registration process, requests for registration in 2026 will not be accepted, and the school will not be allowed to sponsor those students for the 2027 Board Examinations.
All schools must complete registration before the last date — October 16, 2025 (without late fee).
This notification has also been shared with all regional directors, educational organisations, and boards (KVS, NVS, EMRS, Sainik Schools, AWES, etc.) to ensure compliance across all CBSE-affiliated institutions.

Dr. Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Examinations, CBSE
