The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an important advisory for all affiliated schools regarding the correct submission of student data in the List of Candidates (LOC) for Class X (First Examinations) and Class XII main examinations for the academic year 2025-26.
Schools are responsible for ensuring that:
- Student names, as well as names of parents/guardians, are accurately spelled according to the school’s Admission and Withdrawal Register.
- Date of Birth matches school records.
- Subject combinations and codes are correct as per the Scheme of Studies:
Important Subject Codes:
- Class X: Hindi-A (002), Hindi-B (085), Urdu-A (003), Urdu-B (303), Mathematics Standard (041), Mathematics Basic (241)
- Class XII: Hindi Core (302), Hindi Elective (002), English Core (301), English Elective (001), Sanskrit Core (322), Sanskrit Elective (022), Urdu Core (303), Urdu Elective (003), Mathematics (041), Applied Mathematics (241)
Key Measures Introduced by CBSE:
- Correction Window: Schools can correct student data even after submitting the LOC, provided it is done before the last submission date. Additional fees, if required, must be paid online.
- Data Verification Slip: After final submission, schools can generate a verification slip for each candidate. Corrections can be made from 13th Oct to 27th Oct 2025. No corrections will be allowed after this period.
- CWSN Portal: Schools must also update data for students seeking special facilities concurrently on the CWSN portal.
CBSE emphasizes that schools and students must ensure the accuracy of all information, as mistakes can affect eligibility and examination processes. This advisory applies to all schools submitting registration data for Class IX, X, and XII.
