The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an official press release addressing concerns related to the Class 12 Mathematics board examination held on 09 March 2026.
According to the Board, CBSE question papers contain multiple security features, including QR codes, which allow authorities to verify the authenticity of the question paper in case of any suspected security breach.
During the Mathematics examination, it was noticed that in a few question paper sets, scanning one of the QR codes redirected to a YouTube video. This unexpected link created confusion and raised concerns among students and parents regarding the authenticity of the question paper.
CBSE has clarified that the question papers used in the examination were completely genuine, and the security of the examination process remained fully intact.
The Board further stated that although the incident raised doubts among some stakeholders, there was no compromise in the examination security or integrity of the question paper.
At the same time, CBSE has taken the matter seriously and announced that necessary steps are being implemented to ensure that such issues do not occur in the future.
The clarification aims to reassure students, parents, and schools that the board examination process continues to maintain strict security standards.
