The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced post-result facilities for students who appeared in the Class 10 Main and Second Board Examinations 2026. The facilities are intended to help students review their evaluated answer books and, where applicable, request verification of marks or re-evaluation.
The Class 10 Main Board Examination 2026 result was declared on 15 April 2026, while the Second Board Examination result was declared on 18 July 2026.
Students can avail themselves of three post-result facilities:
- Scanned copy of the evaluated answer book
- Verification of marks
- Re-evaluation of answers
Who Can Apply?
Students who appeared only in the Main Board Examination can first apply for the scanned copy of their evaluated answer book. After receiving the scanned copy, they may apply for verification of marks and/or re-evaluation, subject to CBSE rules.
Students who appeared in both Main and Second Board Examinations can also apply for scanned answer books. For subjects taken in both examinations, students may obtain the answer books of both examinations, but verification and/or re-evaluation can be requested for only one answer book—either the Main Examination answer book or the Second Examination answer book.
Important Dates and Fees
As per the CBSE schedule, applications for obtaining scanned copies of evaluated answer books can be submitted online from 5 August to 9 August 2026.
The fee for a scanned copy is ₹300 per subject.
Applications for verification of marks and re-evaluation are scheduled from 16 August to 19 August 2026. The fee is ₹300 per answer book for verification, while re-evaluation is charged at ₹100 per question, including all sub-questions.
Only candidates who have obtained the scanned copy of the evaluated answer book are eligible to apply for verification of marks and/or re-evaluation.
CBSE Issues Important Guidelines
The entire process is online, including submission of applications and payment of fees. Payments can be made through UPI, credit/debit card or net banking. Applications submitted after the prescribed deadline or through offline modes will not be accepted.
Students are also advised to carefully check their scanned answer books before applying for verification or re-evaluation. In case of re-evaluation, students can select full questions, and the revised marks may increase, decrease or remain unchanged. CBSE has clarified that even a decrease of one mark will be implemented.
The Board has also advised students and parents to rely only on official CBSE communication channels and avoid rumours or unverified information circulating on social media.
