The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) organized the National Adolescent Summit 2025 on 5th December 2025 at the CBSE Headquarters, Dwarka, New Delhi. Guided by the NEP 2020’s vision of holistic development, the summit focused on the theme “Empowering Adolescents: Voices, Choices, and Wellbeing,” with the tagline “Creating Safe Spaces for Every Teen.”
The summit aimed to empower students, strengthen support systems, and promote mental and emotional wellbeing across schools. It provided a collaborative platform for educators, psychologists, counsellors, and students to exchange insights and best practices.
✔ Key Sessions & Highlights
The full-day programme featured multiple deep-dive sessions, including:
- Inaugural Session – Adolescents at the Crossroads: Building supportive ecosystems
- Plenary Sessions –
- Mental Health Matters: Breaking the Silence
- Digital Natives: Navigating Social Media, Cyber Safety & Screen Time
- Panel Discussions on:
- Identity & Inclusion
- Healthy Habits, Body Image & Lifestyle
- Career Choices, Skills & Purpose
- Youth Engagement Segment – “My Voice, My Story”
- School Counseling Showcase – Best practices from CBSE schools
- Valedictory Session featuring singer Shri Diwakar Sharma
The sessions were led by leading psychologists, mental health professionals, and eminent principals of CBSE schools across India and abroad.
✔ Student-Led Creative Performances
The summit included powerful student performances such as:
- Nukkad Natak
- Poetry recitals
- Mime on emotional wellbeing
- Dance drama “I Rise”
- Rap performances focused on resilience & stress management
These showcased authentic adolescent voices and normalized mental health conversations in school communities.
✔ Participation & Outreach
The event witnessed participation from 800+ delegates, including principals, vice-principals, counsellors, and wellness teachers from India and overseas. The highest participation came from:
- Delhi NCR – 300+ delegates
- Haryana – 182 delegates
- Uttar Pradesh – 139 delegates
Representatives also joined from 20+ States/UTs and from Muscat, Oman.
For wider access, the sessions were livestreamed on CBSE’s official YouTube channels, enabling participation of schools, parents, students, and counsellors across the country.
✔ Impact of the Summit
The National Adolescent Summit 2025 addressed critical challenges faced by today’s teens—mental health, digital safety, identity, inclusion, lifestyle, and career uncertainty.
It reinforced CBSE’s commitment to creating safe, inclusive, and emotionally supportive school environments, aligned with the NEP 2020’s holistic education vision.
