The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an important advisory regarding the circulation of fake news and rumours ahead of the CBSE Board Examinations 2026. The CBSE Annual Examinations for Classes 10 and 12 have started from 17 February 2026.
In the past, CBSE has observed that some individuals spread misleading information on social media platforms during board exams. This includes false claims of question paper leaks and fake question papers being circulated among students. Such misinformation creates unnecessary panic, confusion, and stress among students and parents.
CBSE has strongly urged students, parents, schools, and all stakeholders to remain vigilant and not believe or forward any unverified information. The Board has assured that strict security measures and robust systems are in place to ensure fair and smooth conduct of the examinations.
CBSE also stated that any attempt to spread misinformation or disrupt the examination process will be dealt with strictly as per rules and regulations.
For authentic updates, CBSE has advised stakeholders to rely only on official sources such as:
- The official CBSE website (cbse.gov.in)
- CBSE Regional Offices or CBSE Headquarters
CBSE has emphasized the importance of using verified official platforms to prevent the spread of rumours in the larger public interest.
