The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an important advisory for schools, parents, and students appearing in the Class 10 and Class 12 Board Examinations 2026.
The board exams will begin from Tuesday, 17 February 2026, with more than 46 lakh students participating across India and 26 countries worldwide.
CBSE has instructed all students to reach their examination centre on or before 10:00 AM, as the exam will start at 10:30 AM, and no entry will be allowed after 10:00 AM.
The board has also warned that traffic congestion, route diversions, and delays may occur during the examination days due to national and international summits, high-level meetings, and other major events scheduled across different parts of the country.
Students are advised to leave their homes early, plan their travel considering traffic, weather conditions, distance, and local situations, and visit their examination centres in advance to avoid last-minute confusion.
CBSE has requested all schools to guide parents and students properly and help them plan their journey so that they reach the centre well on time on every examination day.
