The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued an important advisory to all CBSE-affiliated schools regarding the procurement of authentic NCERT textbooks. The Board has noted that several unauthorised book sellers have been circulating fake and low-quality NCERT textbooks at discounted prices, which may contain printing errors and incorrect content, posing a serious risk to student learning.
Schools have been requested to inform and counsel parents to purchase only genuine NCERT textbooks through official and authorised channels. CBSE also clarified that schools must procure NCERT books strictly from authorised sources notified by CBSE and NCERT.
