The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released important instructions for schools regarding Observations on Class 10 and Class 12 question papers for the 2026 Board Examinations. The board exams will begin on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, i.e, Today.
CBSE has noted that every year schools are asked to submit their observations and issues related to question papers through the OECMS (Online Examination Content Management System). However, several issues have been observed in the reporting process.
According to CBSE, many schools:
- Send observations to incorrect email IDs
- Submit observations after several days
- Send vague or unclear feedback such as “question is incorrect” without specifying the issue
To streamline the process, CBSE has directed that all observations must be uploaded on OECMS on the same day of the examination. If additional clarification is required, details can be sent to qpobservation@cbseshiksha.in.
The board has clearly stated that no action will be taken if observations are unclear, delayed, not submitted through the prescribed platform, or not in compliance with CBSE instructions.
CBSE has requested schools to cooperate and send timely and clear feedback so that appropriate action can be taken quickly during the examination period.
