The Central Board of Secondary Education has announced the opening of the OECMS portal for correcting any mistakes in the data already submitted for the Main Examination 2026.
This step has been taken to ensure accurate data before the launch of the Integrated Payment System (IPS), which will release final payments to examination centres after the completion of Board Examinations 2026.
According to CBSE, the data related to examination centres — including:
- Number of functionaries deputed
- Number of candidates appeared or absent
- Number of rooms used
- Daily centre records
is automatically fetched from the OECMS portal into the IPS system. In previous years, several schools reported incorrect payment claims due to wrong or incomplete data entries.
To avoid such issues, all Centre Superintendents and Heads of Schools are instructed to:
- Carefully review the data available on the OECMS portal
- Rectify any incorrect entries
- Fill in any missing information
- Coordinate with their concerned Regional Office if corrections are required
Schools must submit any correction requests to the concerned Regional Office by 11 April 2026.
The board has further directed that all corrections and data updates must be completed positively by 13 April 2026. After this deadline, no further requests will be accepted.
All examination centres are advised to complete this process on priority to ensure accurate payment processing and proper record management.
