The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released an important notice regarding Post Result Declaration Facilities for Class 12 Students – Part 2 for the academic session 2025-26.
As part of its efforts to create a more transparent, fair, and student-friendly evaluation system, CBSE introduced the On Screen Marking (OSM) system for evaluating Class 12 answer sheets in 2026. The Board stated that OSM helps improve accuracy, confidentiality, standardization, and faster processing of evaluation activities.
However, after the declaration of results, CBSE received concerns and representations from students and stakeholders regarding marks and the new evaluation process. Taking these concerns into consideration, the Board has announced structured post-result facilities and also reduced the fees significantly so that more students can access these services.
Revised Fee Structure for Class 12 Post Result Facilities
1. Obtaining Scanned Copy of Evaluated Answer Book
- Dates: 19 May 2026 to 22 May 2026
- Old Fee: ₹700
- Revised Fee: ₹100
2. Verification of Issues Observed
- Dates: 26 May 2026 to 29 May 2026
- Old Fee: ₹500
- Revised Fee: ₹100
3. Re-Evaluation
- Old Fee: ₹100 per question
- Revised Fee: ₹25 per question
CBSE has also clarified that if marks increase after re-evaluation, the fee paid by the student will be refunded.
The Board requested all schools and institutions to spread awareness among students and parents so that eligible students can apply within the prescribed timelines.
CBSE further stated that the process and guidelines mentioned in the earlier notice dated 15 May 2026 will remain unchanged. Through these revised measures, the Board aims to strengthen trust and ensure a student-centric examination system.
