New Delhi, July 11, 2025 – The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a circular requesting its affiliated schools to extend support to the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS) by serving as exam centres for the upcoming NIOS Public Examinations scheduled in October–November 2025.
NIOS, an autonomous institution under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, conducts exams for Secondary (Class 10), Senior Secondary (Class 12), and Vocational Courses twice a year — in April–May and October–November. As the world’s largest open schooling system, NIOS primarily supports the educational needs of the disadvantaged sections of society.
To ensure smooth conduct of these exams, CBSE-affiliated schools are invited to register and offer their infrastructure for use as exam centres.
