Khanpur. At Uma Public School located in Sai Ki Takiya, Baheri, the second day of the ongoing Annual Sports Meet was filled with enthusiasm and competitive spirit as students from different classes participated in multiple sports events. At the end of the programme, the winners were felicitated with medals and certificates.
In Class 1, Pallavi, Mayank Giri and Yamika Yadav secured positions in the Maths Puzzle competition, while in the Race event, the winners included Ishant Gond, Ayush Rajbhar and Taukir Khan. In the Musical Chair competition, the winners were Yash Yadav, Aanvi Yadav and Rakesh Yadav, whereas the Lemon Race saw victories by Ojasvi Yadav and Advika Chaturvedi. In the Hurdle Race, the winners were Pawan Rajbhar and Abhigyan Singh.
In the Chess competition, the top positions were bagged by students including Rohan (Class 7), Lucky (Class 6), Shreyansh (Class 4), Ansh (Class 9), Saklain (Class 10) and Himanshu (Class 8). In the Carrom competition, winners included Saumya Yadav (Class 5), Sejal Yadav (Class 6), Harshita Yadav (Class 5), Sejal Dixit (Class 9), Sabrin, Priyanshi Seth, Rimsha Barnwal (Class 8), Vaishnavi Yadav and Shreya Mishra.
In the Kabaddi competition held among Classes 4 to 6, the team from Class 5 led by captain Jency Yadav emerged victorious. Meanwhile, in the Cricket tournament held for Classes 10 to 12, the Class 11 team led by captain Saurabh Yadav secured the championship title.
All winners were honoured with certificates and medals by the school’s founder, Mr. Ramgopal Singh. Managing Director Mr. Atul Singh said that the Annual Sports Meet helps uncover hidden student talent, which is then nurtured throughout the academic year. He also shared that the event will conclude on Thursday.
