The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released a new circular dated 16th October 2025 regarding the conduct of Practical Examinations, Project Assessments, and Internal Assessments for Classes X and XII in winter-bound schools for the academic session 2025–2026.
According to the official circular, the practical and internal assessments for these schools will be conducted between 15th November 2025 and 15th December 2025. Schools have been directed to ensure that all examinations are completed before the commencement of winter vacations.
CBSE has also issued key instructions for smooth conduct and accurate record-keeping:
- Schools must strictly follow the schedule prescribed by CBSE and avoid any delay.
- Marks and assessment data must be uploaded on the CBSE portal immediately after completion of the exams.
- For Class XII practicals, external examiners and observers will be appointed by the Board, while internal examiners will handle the internal components.
- For Class X internal assessments, schools must ensure proper documentation and transparency in evaluation.
- All schools are required to maintain detailed records of practicals, projects, viva, and attendance for verification purposes.
The Board emphasized that conducting assessments within the stipulated period is crucial for timely completion of examination processes and result preparation. Non-compliance or delay may cause administrative challenges and affect students’ examination readiness.
