The Central Board of Secondary Education has released an important notice regarding post-result declaration facilities for Class 12 students for the academic session 2025-26.
This year, CBSE introduced the On-Screen Marking (OSM) system for evaluating Class 12 answer sheets. According to the Board, the new digital evaluation process helps maintain secrecy, improves accuracy, reduces human errors, and ensures faster and more transparent evaluation of answer books.
Despite these improvements, CBSE has provided students with facilities to review their evaluated answer books if they are not satisfied with their marks.
Facilities Available for Students
The post-result process will be conducted in two stages:
Stage 1 – Scanned Copy of Answer Book
Students can first request a scanned copy of their evaluated answer sheet for the desired subjects. The scanned copy will be available online through the candidate’s login portal.
Stage 2 – Verification & Re-Evaluation
Only students who apply for scanned copies will be eligible for:
- Verification of issues observed in the answer book
- Re-evaluation of specific answers/questions
CBSE has advised students to carefully review the marking scheme available on the official website before applying for re-evaluation.
Important Guidelines Issued by CBSE
- The complete application process is online only
- Offline applications will not be accepted
- Payment can only be made through online methods like Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking
- Only one application per stage will be accepted
- Marks may increase or decrease after re-evaluation
- Revised marks after re-evaluation will be treated as final
CBSE also clarified that if marks change after verification or re-evaluation, students will have to surrender the old marksheet and a new revised marksheet will be issued.
The Board has urged students to carefully read all guidelines and FAQs before applying to avoid mistakes during the process.
