The Central Board of Secondary Education has released an important Part-2 notice regarding post-result declaration facilities for Class 12 students after the announcement of Board Results 2026.
CBSE stated that the Board remains committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, student-friendly, and technology-driven evaluation system. This year, CBSE introduced the On Screen Marking (OSM) system for evaluation of Class 12 answer sheets to improve accuracy, confidentiality, and faster processing of results.
However, after the declaration of results, CBSE received concerns and representations from students and stakeholders regarding marks and the OSM evaluation process. Taking these concerns seriously, the Board has now revised and reduced the fees for post-result services so that more students can access these facilities easily.
Revised Fee Structure Announced by CBSE
1. Scanned Copy of Evaluated Answer Book
- Application Dates: 19 May 2026 to 22 May 2026
- Old Fee: ₹700
- Revised Fee: ₹100
2. Verification of Issues Observed
- Application Dates: 26 May 2026 to 29 May 2026
- Old Fee: ₹500
- Revised Fee: ₹100
3. Re-Evaluation of Answers
- Old Fee: ₹100 per question
- Revised Fee: ₹25 per question
CBSE has also announced that the fee will be refunded in cases where marks increase after re-evaluation.
The Board has requested all schools and institutions to inform students and parents about the revised process and timelines to ensure timely application submission.
CBSE further clarified that all other rules and procedures mentioned in the earlier notice dated 15 May 2026 will remain unchanged.
Students are advised to carefully read the official guidelines before applying for scanned copies, verification, or re-evaluation.
