The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a Mandatory Mass Mock Evaluation of On-Screen Marking (OSM) to be conducted on 26 February 2026 (Thursday) for all affiliated schools in India and abroad.
The initiative aims to familiarize teachers of Classes XI and XII with the Digital Evaluation System before the commencement of the actual board evaluation process.
Purpose of the Mock Evaluation
The live practice sessions are being organized to:
- Ensure all teachers log in and save their credentials for actual evaluation.
- Provide first-hand experience of the digital evaluation platform.
- Collect feedback from evaluators to further refine and enhance the system.
Based on feedback received earlier, CBSE has already modified the Digital Evaluation platform to improve functionality and make it more user-friendly.
Provision of Principal’s Dashboard
To streamline monitoring and participation, CBSE has provided a Principal’s Dashboard with the following features:
- Correction facility for teachers’ incorrect OASIS data to enable login credential generation.
- Monitoring access to track how many teachers have logged in and evaluated answer books.
- Facility for Principals to send login credentials directly to teachers.
Final Testing Before Actual Evaluation
Before the subject-wise actual evaluation schedule is announced, CBSE will conduct this Mass Mock Evaluation to:
- Test system load capacity.
- Ensure smooth login processes.
- Confirm teachers are well-versed with digital evaluation procedures.
